1)In this new session 2009-10,Dr. S P Pandey will take charge as the new Director of Vishveshwarya Institute of Engineering & Technology(VIET). He will replace Mr. G S Sandhu in the Vishveshwarya Group of Institution(VGI).

Mr. Pandey was formerly in Indraprasth Engineering College(IPEC),Ghaziabad. He was working there as Prof. and HOD in Mechanical Engineering Department. Dr. Pandey having 20 years Teaching and Research Experience in Engineering Institutions for UG & PG Engineering students and guided 23 projects.

Dr. SP Pandey having rich educational qualifications. He is Ph.D(Thermal Energy-Micro hydel power plant), M.E. and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College(MMM EC) ,Gorakhpur. Another new director within a year in VIET.Lets hope for new policies and favourable changes in campus.

gud news for 2nd year btech(appearing) students..
A new opportunity ahead..KVPY as u guys must be knowing an exclusive association of IISC,Bangalore..is organizing fellowship programs under enineering stream known as SP(Engineering)..to participate all u hav to do is to submit a hard copy of any kind of project realted to ur field of interest like u may go for a project in mechanics or electronis or some other working models in technical field...but one thing shud be kept in mind..project must represent ur creativity n must be done solely...
i think its a massive opportunity ..and wats wrong if ur getting a handsome fellowship stipend..
if any of the student of our college grabs this opportunity ..it wud b a great deal..n 'll certainly take our institution to great heights...!!

Our college is one of the oldest colleges of UPTU as old as uptu itself,but is leading far behind from colleges like KIET,AKGEC,RKGIT,JSS,galgotia and many more...

our institute was ranked 27th in the year 2008-09,not even in the top 20,, with new colleges like ABESIT,KEC etc making in the top 20 our college was far behind...

What do you think is the reason for all this lacking behind..

1)poor management

2)No tech events etc

but the most important reason are we the students..so lets join our hands togather and beleiving in the fact that "everything" is possible move ahead and demand more from the college and start building our future ourself...

Bcoz if this situation remains companies will also not visit us..I am sure the director and the faculty will help us in any possible ways...

Mokshagundam Vishveshwarya was born on August 28, 1860 and Muddenahalli(a village) in Chikballapur Taluk, Kolar district, Mysore (Now Karnataka). Vishveshwarya completed his lower secondary course at Chikballapur. After completing his high-school, he joined the central college having stood first in engineering, it was not difficult for him to enter the Bombay Government Service. He joined the engineer's kader as an Assistant Engineer. The first test of his ability was when he was entrusted with the construction of SYPHON on the river Panjra at Dashari, a village 35 miles from Dhulia. Visveswaraiya proved his mettle in the world scenario. This was the inspiring force that led to the idea of building a world-class technical institute. This is how Vishveshwarya Institute was born. Vishveshwarya Institute is more than just a hall of residence it's a place where you'll do a lot of living, studying and socializing. Your College community will include graduate, Postgraduate and research students, teachers and lecturers. Dr. M Visveswaraya was a great statesman, administrator, and engineer and he was awarded the coveted Bharat Ratna in 1955. He was an honorary life fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).His birthday September 15th is observed as 'Engineers Day.The dedication & the value of time ,he has shown,is our guiding principle.This is how Vishveshwarya Institute was born in 2000. Being the first engineer of the country Visveswaraiya proved his mettle in the world scenario. This was the inspiring force that led to the idea of building a world-class technical institute.
